Dream Office

Just got back from our first meeting with the architects & interior designers for our new office space over in Downtown Crossing. We started with the following spec:

1. Think Google - office should be a place that people want to spend time at and if the job is done REALLY well, it'll be a place that people don't want to leave (and we won't even have to bribe them with free food!
2. Lots of open space, lofty feel, flexible partitions – NO CAGES!
3. At least 8 private offices with doors required
4. At least 1 full conference room and ideally, multiple "areas or spaces" that can be utilized in a more casual sense for meetings, brainstorming, etc
5. Bathroom - if No 1 is done properly, there's clearly a need for a shower. Programmers need lots of monitors and lots of power outlets.
6. Extreme programming space, setup capability
